Our Enquiry Curriculum

This academic year we are continuing to work to restructure our school’s curriculum in Key Stages One and Two, placing a greater emphasis on questioning, to appeal to our children’s natural curiosities and love for exploring new learning and ideas. Our enquiry curriculum replaces ‘topics’ with key questions, which each year group discuss and work towards answering. Each half-term, the children will have new questions linked to a different areas of study.

The WOW factor!

Each term we like to highlight one area of the curriculum and celebrate it across the school. We connect these subject areas with a whole school question that we’re calling the West Oxford Wonder, or WOW Question! This provides the children opportunities to see how their learning fits into a wider context.
