Head's Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to West Oxford Community Primary school.  We are a single form entry primary school, located to the west of the City of Oxford.  The school itself has a rich history, having been founded in 1913, continuously providing education for children in the community for 112 years.   

Today, West Oxford is a forward facing school filled with enthusiastic pupils and talented staff.  The school is a happy place, where we pride ourselves in providing creative, engaging opportunities to enrich the lives of the children in our care. 

We see the potential in every child and through our bespoke Enquiry Curriculum, we encourage active learning through investigation with a heavy dose of creativity. We highly value the arts, STEM and sports alongside literacy and numeracy skills, and strive to provide children with opportunities to develop and succeed for the modern world.

Ultimately though, we are a happy school, with an ethos and culture based around our well engrained and truly lived TRACK values, of Teamwork, Resilience, Ambition, Creativity and Kindness.  It is this nurture and care which we place front and centre in everything we do, thanks to our dedicated staff team and community volunteers, who work tirelessly to ensure every child meets their full potential.
